Hieronder enkele voorbeelden:

I’m an office worker in at the government. It’s a nine-to-five job with regular working hours. The work is dull but I like it because it’s close to home.
We all have to clock in and out every day. In this company, even the CEO has to, which is unusual. I commute to work every day, because we can’t work from home using a computer like some other jobs. Teleworking or telecommuting has become less popular, but recently there are lots of people using the internet to sell products and services.

I’m a lawyer and at my company there’s a system of flexitime. This means we can work when we want, within certain limits. We can start for instance at any time before 10, and finish before 3, as long as we do enough hours each month. It’s ideal for me as I have a new-born child.

I work in a chemical plant. I work in shifts, which means that one week I may be on the day shift and the next week on the night shift. When I change shifts, I have a hard time getting used to the new shift.

Fascinating, satisfying, exciting: interessant, voldoening gevend, leuk

dull, boring, uninteresting: oninteressant en saai

Repetitive, routine: repetitief, routine

Tiring, hard, demanding, tough: vermoeiend, hard, veeleisend
